On Thursday, September 18, Thinkbug Media will present a full day of hands-on ActionScript 3.0 training. This will be our first training session, and is mostly an experiment to see if there is a demand for advanced, hands-on web development training in Columbia. I’m excited by the response so far, and if you’re interested, there’s still room for you!
This week, I also presented “What’s New in ActionScript 3.0″ to a good-sized group at the monthly Refresh Columbia meeting. The response was very positive, and I hope that I have inspired a few people to pick up a little ActionScript. The Refresh events are a valuable networking tool and a great way to share our web knowledge with one another, and we’re just getting started. If you are a web designer or developer in the Columbia area, do yourself a favor and stop by one of the monthly meetings. I promise it will be worth an hour of your time.
